INTERNATIONAL YOUNG JEWELERS COMPETITION
FOR ST. PETERSBURG AND THE NORDIC COUNTRIES

MAY 26-29, 2000

Over 130 young jewelers between the ages of 18 and 35, from four countries, participated in the international young jewelers competition. This was the third competition hosted by FAF, and the first for jewelers from other countries. 38 jewelers from Estonia, Finland, and Iceland submitted their works for consideration by the international jury. 24 awards were made, with prizes ranging from jewelers instruments and design books to semi-precious stones and week-long training programs. The gala awards ceremony at the Yelagin Palace include the presentation of awards and a fashion show featuring the jewelry from the competition.
